I have loved photography my entire life. The way the light comes in and you can mold the light to create such beautiful and emotional works of art. How with just light you can create so many different emotions and how a composition can be created to get just the right feel. I love how you can take the ordinary and make it look so brilliant with just light and composition.

I remember asking for a camera for Christmas one year and that is when it all started. I took tons of photos of my friends in my teens; I always had that camera with me. Back then it was all on film so waiting to get the negatives developed into photos felt like an eternity. Sometimes the pictures were pretty impressive and other times my friends were missing their heads, but we always had fun and I loved the feeling while I was shooting.

I went to college and studied photography. There we learned the technical aspects, and this gave me a great foundation to support my own individual creativity. Then, for some unknown reason, I stepped away from photography. I am still not sure exactly why because when I pick up a camera, I feel so alive and so creative. It makes my heart sing so loud. Maybe I needed to step away to discover that I was already where I was supposed to be.

So, with the feeling of love, creativity and the support of my wonderful family, I decided to start a photography business. I thought, “I love photography so much why not help others on their journeys and create beautiful images for others.”

I am so grateful for the opportunity to help others with the gift of photography. This is my calling and I am thankful it made its way back into my life.
